Overview

School, transitions, chores, peer relationships, personal hygiene, attitude, sibling relationships, work, personal health, task completion, sleep, family dynamics.  These are all areas that can suffer in the life of someone with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).  Navigating, as a parent, all the various areas that need to be managed to help your child with ADHD can be so overwhelming.  Researchers have stated:

"Parents are more stressed, there is greater sibling conflict, and there are higher rates of parent–child and family conflict in the families of children with ADHD."

This is why we wanted to run this workshop, to provide support for  families that are stressed, in conflict and just needing some extra scaffolding.

Dr. Russell Barkley, one of the top experts in ADHD states:

"Parents of children with ADHD are pressed for time and for reliable solutions to everyday challenges. From the hundreds of families to whom I’ve provided clinical services, and from feedback on more than 800 lectures, I’ve learned that parents need a handful of clear guidelines that will keep them grounded in their intention to raise a happy, healthy child in spite of ADHD. Such guidelines, centered in a solid understanding of what they’re dealing with, can equip them with proven practical solutions when they are struggling with the challenges of having ADHD in the family."

Our goal in this workshop is to provide parents with a handful of clear guidelines and principles that will help empower parents to be the effective, supportive and creative parents that they would like to be.
